Our detective agency in Kyiv was contacted by a citizen of the Netherlands, who told us that on a dating site he met a girl with whom he began a romantic relationship. They corresponded for a long time, the girl offered to come to him in order to get to know him live. She also asked to transfer money to her to pay for the issuance of a foreign passport for a visa and the purchase of tickets, after the transfer of funds, the girl wrote that the paperwork would take one month and our client began to expect her arrival. Three weeks later, the girl wrote that her parents were ill, she could not come and asked for financial assistance, after paying the funds she disappeared and stopped communicating. The client asked our employees to find out what happened and clarify the state of health of the parents.
Our employees asked for the data to which money transfers were made, a photo and the address of the girl’s page on the dating site. After receiving an advance payment for expenses, we set to work.
The detectives found that the profile on the dating site was fake because the girl’s photo did not match her real image. In addition, it was found that the girl does not have a father and she lives with her mother, who is not sick and leads an active lifestyle. It was also established that the girl still has several accounts on a dating site with different photos and that she is married and has children.
